Beautiful gowns...talented designers

I enjoyed wandering amongst some gorgeous examples of fashion design recently at the Victoria and Albert Museum.

This ballgown was one of my favourites.....
Christian Lacrouix 1991.

This simple pinafore was designed by Hussein Chalayan 1996 , it is simple but what I really like about this designer is that he experiments with textiles...."he buried the jacket fabric in his garden with iron filings, creating a burst of rich rust colour over its surface" . The picture just barely captures the rich texture of the jacket.

Another favourite piece was this Missoni coat....they really know how to piece colours together. (sorry the photos aren't more clear)

The fabric of this vintage Chloe gown looked amazing.
