Hemp organic cotton was my canvas and cool ocean waters my inspiration. The inks are water-based and the fabric has been heat set so you can be sure the cushions are colourfast.

GOTS and the Soil Association have released a joint campaign promoting the benefits of switching to organic cotton.
Organic cotton is grown without the use of pesticides so is safe for farmers and keeps toxic poisons out of the soil and waterways; it requires less water in the growing process and enables farmers to grow other crops for food and income.

I recently arranged to custom dye some 13oz hemp and organic cotton to this orange, marmalade colour. It took the dyers a few tries to get the colour just right but what a colour it is...earthy and warm and not the least bit shy.
