Lately I've been.....
Lately I've been...
making a range of limited edition pillows!
HAND-PAINTED
Hemp organic cotton was my canvas and cool ocean waters my inspiration. The inks are water-based and the fabric has been heat set so you can be sure the cushions are colourfast.
SHIBORI
This range of limited edition shibori cushions are rich with copper on a cream hemp silk background. I used eucalyptus leaves and copper pipe as a mordant with red onion skin and rusty nails for the rich copper colour.
Each of these cushions is available now from EcoInspired's Etsy store https://www.etsy.com/shop/EcoInspired

INTERWOVEN 2013 - Karen Brock and Sophie Seeger
Recently, we displayed our latest range of fabrics
at the DIA's annual Interwoven exhibition.
It was a pleasure, once again to collaborate with Sophie Seeger for the exhibition and to meet with some truly inspiring artist/designers.
For the Interwoven display we created a chic table setting of tablecloth, napkins, table runners and dining chair covers.

Nature inspires
INSPIRATIONAL COLOURS
My inspiration comes mostly from the natural
environment and mother nature's exquisite handiwork.
This close range image of an adorable Indian Roller bird captures the copper brown hue of his neck feathers. Nature has a way with colour pairing there's no doubt about it; copper blended with the blue of his wing and tail feathers; truly inspirational.
